Dr. Kenston J. Griffin, Chief Executive Officer
After investing nearly 20 years into building his dream, Dr. Kenston J. Griffin says he learned a valuable lesson in both business and in life: “I can’t do it alone”. As the CEO of Dream Builders Communication, Inc., he has been responsible for giving his clients and team members the vision and support they need to succeed for more than two decades. “We all work hard to ensure our culture is one that thrives. My role is important because I provide direction and stability to the DBC organization.”
Kevin L. Alston, Chief Operating Officer
Kevin L. Alston is a best selling author, Certified Master Coach, Certified NLP Practitioner, master trainer, and motivational speaker. He is a native of South Carolina and holds a Bachelor's in Business Management from Southern Wesleyan University, a Master's in Information Technology Management, and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences at Walden University.

Lorenzo Johnson, Jr., EdD, Vice President of Training & Development
With over 15 years of proven experience in educational leadership and business coaching, Dr. Johnson's background includes leading, training & coaching teachers and educational leaders. Throughout his career, Dr. Johnson has taught Cross Categorical Special Education (K-5), Elementary Education (3-5), and served in the roles of Middle and High School Assistant and Principal positions. A native of Marion, SC, Dr. Johnson received his Bachelor's in Sociology from The University of South Carolina, Master's of Human Resources from Webster University, a Master's of Arts in Elementary Teaching from Pfeiffer University, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. Dr. Johnson received his Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Workplace certificate from The University of South Florida and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified professional.
Sherry Griffin graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, she also earned a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from Webster University. She is the Finance and Human Resources Manager and supports clients in a variety of industries including Education and Financial Services at Dream Builders Communication. Prior to working at Dream Builders Communication, she served as the Assistant Director of Education and Workforce for a variety of programs at the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. Sherry serves on the YMCA Stratford Richardson Board and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated with Richland County Alumnae Chapter.
Paul Renegar, Training Manager
Paul Renegar is an experienced Executive and Professional Coach specializing in supporting executives, managers, and educators in performance management, diversity, training and development. Paul has over 15 years of corporate and business start-up experience, including leadership roles in commercial finance and sales development. A former collegiate athlete and graduate of UNC-Charlotte, Paul also has over a decade of experience working with youth and collegiate athletes.
Robin Johnson, Executive Assistant
Robin Johnson, a native of Mooresville, NC. She received her Birth to Kindergarten degree from Appalachian State University in 2008. She went on to complete her Master of Education from Gardner Webb University in 2013, and in 2020 a Master of Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Robin enjoys cooking, singing and reading in her free time. Mark 9:23 is a foundational scripture in her life.
Charise Allen, Assistant Business Officer Coordinator
Charese Allen received her bachelors in interior architecture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Masters in Design Management from Savannah College of Art and Design. Ms. Allen has a passion for using creativity and effective communication to turn visions into reality. She believes that with this mentality more positive work can be done within the community to impact and enrich the lives of others.
Chavis Gash, Business Analytics Coordinator
Chavis Gash is a Research Educational Practitioner that is well rounded in the education and business profession. Chavis holds two master’s degree in Divinity and Psychology as well as a Doctor of Education and Innovation. Dr. Gash is known across the country for his innovative methodologies and assist organizations in identifying gaps, trends, as well as research-based solutions that support the day to day operations of creating a successful culture.
Cheree Gillespie, Training Coordinator
Cheree Gillespie is a native of Statesville, NC. Cheree holds two bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Theology as well as a Master degree in Theology. Cheree is known for providing solutions that support the day-to-day operations and creating a successful culture in Iredell-Statesville Schools as well as surrounding counties. Other duties include coordinating service
deliveries, reviewing presentation materials, providing guidance for event planning, conducting business outreach and developing new ways to make the current process stronger.
